sweet...innocent...pure...

I just love babies.  How could you not?  They are just that - so sweet, innocent and pure. When I was peeking at these pics a saying popped into my head..."Babies are such a great way to start people". I think it is so true - they are just the perfect little beings...well, maybe not when they are awake at 3 am - but otherwise, they are pretty perfect.

This is Kiera. Such pretty, delicate features...It took quite a while to get her to sleep as she is exactly one month here...I usually try to photograph babies within the first two weeks since they are much easier to get to sleep and curl.  But the client was a girl grew up with so we had a lot to talk about while waiting for Kiera to fall asleep.  Anyway, three hours later, here's what we came up with:

Over the past few years, i lost my grandmother and father in law to diabetes. we decided to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. in October 2008 we as a family walked the Cooper River Annual Fundraiser to show our support. we plan on joining every year. in our first year, we were able to raise approx $5000!

Any business or fun stuff you want to share? ANYONE WHO LOVES COFFEE..TRY TALK N COFFEE IN DEPTFORD ACROSS FROM HOME DEPOT. THEY SELL THE BEST FLAVORED COFFEE BEANS/GRINDS.

And last but not least, what do you *love* about KRP? HER KIDS!!!

13. What local groups or causes are you involved with? as a family we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint. we recycle and conserve as much as possible. and encourage the kids to turn off the water when brushing their teeth, use only necessary lights, etc.

14. Any business or fun stuff you want to share? I am runner. in october 2006, i ran the marine corps marathon and a few days later i discovered i was 6 weeks pregnant! it always makes for a great conversation piece. one of my dreams for later in life is to run a marathon with one or more of my daughters.

how sad is it that it is 8:00 on Saturday night and I am posting on my blog :(  Anyway, here is the first client whose life we get to take a peek into...Laura.  Such a sweet lady - defintely a girls girl - likes her make up and gossip - so you gotta love her :)

3.       Any plans for the summer? First family road trip to Florida to visit the grandparents (we're driving - yikes!!!!)

13.   What local groups or causes are you involved with? (Do you belong to or support any volunteer organizations?)  Before children, I was quite active in the Junior League of Greater Princeton & I chaired an annual fundraising gala for Friends of Homeless Animals.  Now I'm just trying to make sure I get the children dressed before leaving the house :)

14.   Any business or fun stuff you want to share?  I am currently working freelance at News 12 New Jersey as the host of NJ Power & Politics.  I also host a Cablevision Local Program called "We've Got Issues".  And I do other work for PBS on a show called "Caucus NJ"  as well as corporate videos - on air, voice over work, etc.  Four weeks after my daughter was born, I was awarded an Emmy for "Outstanding Individual Achievement - Host/Talk Program"

15.   And last but not least, what do you *love* about KRP? Kristine has a truly unique talent of capturing "THE" moment.  She is TONS of fun to work with and just a lovely person with a beautiful family.

I have to post some pics from this session since I know mom is dying to see them.  Hailey is also the star of my new blog header and mom tells me she keeps coming back just to look at her.  And, understandably so, she is such a beautiful baby.  Actually, she is the perfect poser too. She slept through the entire session, curled so easily and even crossed her legs like a little lady.

and here she is with dad (who she looks exactly like).  I am such a sucker for daddy/daughter pics...

The one thing I did NOT like about this session was that mom showed up in her pre-pregnancy jeans!!!  This baby was about 10 days old!  I was so jealous!!  I am thinking of photoshopping some weight on  her in the pics just to make myself feel better ;) Only kidding, Holly...you all look great and I had an awesome time photographing your family!

the return of baby's first year

due to **many** requests, I will be bringing the Baby's First Year plan back. The first year of a baby's life includes so many changes and milestones, it is so important to capture them.  Now that my son recently turned one, it has reinforced my belief that we need to hold on to those fleeting moments that occur during the first year. In looking back, it is simply amazing to see how much change one year can bring.

This plan will include:

• 3 photo shoots at newborn, 6 months and 1 year
• Up to two hours of shoot time per session
• one 5x7 from each session
