is it spring yet?

I know, I know, I have been quite the slacker in updating my blog.  I swear it seems like someone is always sick in my house.  This past week, I have had my hubby home sick.  And we all know a sick man is actually equal to about 20 sick kids :) Why are men such babies when they are sick?

Anyway, I promise to be a little better at sharing sneak peeks.  Now that the weather is supposed to be getting nicer, I can't wait to get outside and shoot.

my little man is one....

I feel like I was just announcing he was born...But, somehow, a year has passed and Logan is one. I guess it's true that the older you get, the faster time goes by. I can not believe that my little guy is one already.  It's kind of a sad feeling when you know it's your last child.  I wish there was a "pause" button you could push to keep them little a while longer.

So of course, we had to do the cliched "cake shots".  But it was fun to watch him try to figure out what to do with all that cake. He is not a big sweet fan (don't know where that comes from), so for the most part, he just played with it - and at one point, had his whole foot in it :)

supergirl...

It was truly an honor to be able to photograph this little supergirl.  Meet Ellie.  She has most definitely earned the title of "Supergirl" as she is 4 years old and battling Leukemia. She is winning her battle and I am most convinced that if anyone can "kick leukemia's butt", she can and will.  She has more energy and spunk than any other kid I know.  I was loving her little attitude (I like to call it  "ellie-tude") during this shoot.  She was so fun and I just loved the clothes she picked out.  And she even traded me a bag of Swedish Fish for a bag of jellybeans - that right there earned her some extra points with me :)

And her mom....she is Superwoman. The strength that I have seen in her through this battle is unbelievable!  Thank you, Nicole, for letting me photograph Ellie and being so open to the shoot.

ok...off to the gym to work off those Swedish fish :)
